We have Teams for all ages (kindergarten thru college) and all abilities (beginning thru advanced). In fact, some of our teams don't require past cheer experience.
Our allstar competition cheer season is a 1-year commitment (May thru April). The 1st half of the season (May-Oct) is training (no competitions), and the 2nd half of the season (Nov-Apr) is competing against other teams. Our teams will compete 6-8 times from from Nov-Apr. Some months they'll have 1 compettion and some months they'll have 2 competitions.
For most of our teams in 2013/14 season, all competitions are within reasonable driving distance. Some competitions are 1-day (Sat or Sun) and some are 2-day (Sat & Sun). Over the years, the competitions that have become our favorites take place in Clovis, San Jose, Sacramento, Anaheim & Palm Springs. In 2012/13 a few of our more advanced teams competed at UCA Nationals in Orlando, FL (DisneyWorld). However, most of our teams did not travel out of state.

Our Allstar teams' evaluation process is a non-stressful skills assessment. No experience is needed for some of our teams.
Since EVERYONE is placed on a team, evaluations are simply our way to determine where each athlete would best fit starting out. We realize this initial athlete placement in May is rarely (if ever) how teams will look come competition time in December. It takes more than 1 or 2 days of "Tryouts" to correctly assemble teams to be the most competitive.
